HOT TUB MAINTENANCE TIPS
If you’re looking for hot tub maintenance tips, you’ll love this post. Have a schedule to test your water and perform cleanses whether you’re maintaining hot tubs or spas. There are those who have suggested using baking soda, but some of the best products to use for cleaning are Concentrated Metal Protector, Shock Out, and Bromine amongst others. Hot tubs are a beautiful and an important part of a home, not just because of the design & landscaping, but because of the family’s quality of life.
One of the best things about your Hybrid Royal Spa is that it does nearly all of the work. All of the parts and features in your hot tub are designed to make life easier. True as this is, there are still some maintenance items you need to complete to keep your spa’s water clean and clear.
Lucky for you, it’s a simple process to keep your hot tub in tip-top shape. Below are the standard instructions for most Hybrid Royal Spas when used by a family of four, 2-3 times per week. Your Royal Spa consultant may recommend adjustments to the quantities and frequency of treating your water based on your water’s quality, size of your spa and actual usage by your family.
We recommend the following weekly hot tub maintenance:
- Test water with our Testing Kit. (Bromine will likely test low with most Royal Spas equipped with an Ozonator).
- Add 1 oz. of Concentrated Metal Protector.
- Add 1 oz. of Shock Out (An additional ounce of Shock Out may be used after any heavy bather load).
- Add 1 oz. of Stain & Scale.
- Add 1 to 2 tablets of bromine to your Bromine Floater each week depending on spa usage (Chlorine may be substituted for Bromine, but please contact your Royal Spa representative for proper instructions).
